Procedures
Dear Lueders-Avoca ISD Administration and Staff,
The LAISD Just Because Booster Club is committed to supporting and enhancing educational, athletic, FFA, and any other extracurricular opportunities for students across the district. To ensure transparency, efficiency, and alignment with district procedures, the Booster Club has established the following policy for requests and coordination with school administration and staff.
Request Submission
All requests for assistance from the Just Because Booster Club must begin with a formal request letter or email submitted by appropriate school administration or staff. This request should clearly outline how the Booster Club can assist and must include confirmation that all applicable steps and procedures within the school district have already been taken.
Detailed Purchase Information
Requests must include explicit and complete details regarding the items or resources needed. For example, requests for uniforms should specify sizes, quantities, colors, required personalization, vendors (if applicable), and any other relevant specifications necessary to ensure accurate and appropriate purchasing.
Timeline and Deadlines
Each request must include a clear and reasonable timeline, including a final date by which the items or support are needed. Requests submitted without sufficient lead time may not be able to be fulfilled.
Supplemental Role of the Booster Club
The Just Because Booster Club exists to supplement the school district when funding is limited, short, or unavailable. The Booster Club is not intended to be the first point of contact for purchases or funding requests. District funding options should be explored and exhausted prior to submitting a request to the Booster Club.
Student-Initiated Requests
These procedures apply specifically to school administration and staff. Students may approach the Just Because Booster Club directly with ideas or needs. In such cases, the Booster Club will initiate contact with the appropriate school administration or staff to verify the need, ensure compliance with district policies, and coordinate proper purchasing and approval.
The Just Because Booster Club values its partnership with Lueders-Avoca ISD and appreciates your cooperation in following these guidelines. These procedures help ensure that resources are used responsibly, equitably, and in the best interest of our students.
